The South Australian Government has announced $876,000 in funding for Rural Business Support to extend the Rural Financial Counselling Service, ensuring drought-affected primary producers can continue accessing free, confidential financial counselling and practical support.
While seasonal conditions have improved in many areas, the financial impacts of drought continue to affect farming businesses. This funding means our Rural Financial Counsellors can keep helping clients understand their options, strengthen their financial position and plan confidently for the future.
Speaking on ABC Regional Drive, Naracoorte Lucindale Mayor Patrick Ross highlighted why this support remains so important:
